How to use this site

We workout using this website.  It's that simple.  You are on a bike trainer or a treadmill.  Or both.  This site provides you with cool footage to keep you engaged and focused.

Check out the race highlight video section.  Watch them as you warm up.  Get ready to race.  Then select your race discipline and enjoy.  It's that easy.

As a member and a racer, we recommend your video screen to be at least 3 to 6 feet away from your fitness equipment.  Having your screen too close is like being too close to an HD television screen.  For optimal viewing experience, keep your distance from your monitor or television.

Installing DivX Web Player

Your browser should try and install DivX web player automatically.  The pop up may be blocked so you'll need to allow it to go through.  We have tested this site with Chrome, Safari, Opera, Firefox and Internet Explorer.  For the latest version of the webplayer, you can also visit www.divx.com  to download.

Special note for Mac users:  Intel based Macs are supported with DivX 7.  We are finding some installation issues with Divx embedded in Safari once the Snow Leopard upgrade has been completed.  We recommend you use Firefox.  Older G5 Macs require DivX 6.  Since DivX no longer supports G5 Macs, you will need to google a downloadable file.

Using DivX Web Player

RaceDayRush.com has chosen DivX compression technology for maximum performance.  For optimum playback, there are a number of settings you can adjust in order to suit your internet connection speeds and processor strength, hard disk space etc.

By right clicking on a DivX window, you can launch preferences.

Click on the second tab, download cache, you can make adjustments about how much of the video the computer will store on your hard disk in order to maximize the playback.  512MB is the default minimum, we suggest you increase this if you find you have 'buffer' issues with playback.  Also, consider increasing the number of days the cache is stored on your computer if you plan on visiting the site frequently to train.
